Transparent images

Agent can create an image with transparency or remove the background of an existing image. Transparent results are PNG files. They appear in the conversation and are saved to Gallery.

Create a transparent image

Ask for transparency in your request. You can create the image using only text or from a product or model image, at up to 4K.

Put this dress on a model, on a transparent background.

Transparency is not limited to the background. Parts of the subject or product can be semi-transparent too. Sheer fabric such as tulle stays see-through, so whatever you place behind the image shows through the fabric.

Ask for transparency explicitly. A white, colored, or studio background is still a visible background.

Remove a background

Attach or reference an existing image, then ask Agent to remove its background.

Remove the background.

The result is the same size as the source image. Background removal cuts out the subject as it is, so it cannot make sheer fabric see-through. For that, create the image with transparency instead.

Edit or upscale a transparent image

Edits and upscaling keep the transparency. For example, “Make her T-shirt red” changes the T-shirt and leaves the transparent areas as they are.

Limitations

Videos cannot be transparent. Transparent areas in a start image or an end image are filled with solid black or white.
