API On‑Demand & Commitment Tiers
FASHN API uses simple, credit‑based pricing. You can start with on‑demand credits and, when you’re ready, add a monthly commitment tier to unlock included monthly images and discounted top‑up rates. All billing and usage are managed in the app’s Developer API dashboard.

Annual Billing Benefit
All tiers include 2 months free (additional ≈16.7% off) when billed annually:
- Tier I: $190 / year
- Tier II: $2490 / year
- Tier III: $12490 / year
Top‑Ups
How it works
- One‑time Stripe checkout; credits activate immediately after payment.
- Minimum purchase is 100 credits; increments of 100.
- On‑Demand price: $0.075 per image.
Tier discounts apply to top‑ups while subscribed (Tier I: $0.0675, Tier II: $0.0600, Tier III: $0.0488 per image). - Expiry: On‑demand top‑ups expire 12 months after purchase.
Discounted top‑ups under a commitment tier do not expire while your subscription remains active; if you cancel, remaining discounted top‑ups expire at the end of the current billing period. - API‑only: Top‑ups purchased here do not appear in the app’s credits.
Where to top up
- Developer API → Billing: In the app, open Billing and switch to the “API” tab.
Use “Top up API credits” to purchase credits. - No subscription? You can still top up from the API dashboard dialog (on‑demand pricing applies).
Auto top‑up (optional)
- Enable in the API Billing tab to automatically purchase a chosen quantity when your balance drops below a threshold.
Requires a saved payment method (3D Secure supported).
Where to see your API credits
- Billing → API tab shows “Monthly Subscription Credits” usage and “Topped‑up credits”.
- The API dashboard also surfaces usage analytics and request history.
Discounted Top-Ups Expiry
Important: On‑Demand (full‑price) top‑ups expire 12 months from purchase. Discounted top‑ups bought under a commitment tier are tied to your subscription—they remain valid while your subscription is active, and expire at the end of the current billing period if you cancel.
Credit Costs
Each endpoint consumes credits similarly to the app tools. The cost multiplies by the number of outputs requested.

Managing Your Plan
Commitment Upgrades
Monthly Tiers
- Upgrades apply immediately. You are charged the destination tier’s monthly price, gain access to its included monthly images, and unlock the corresponding discounted top-up rate right away.
- Any unused monthly images from your current tier roll into the upgraded tier’s monthly allowance. Your first month in the new tier therefore starts with the standard included images plus whatever remained from the previous tier.
- The billing cycle resets to the upgrade date, so your next renewal is one month after the upgrade.
Annual Tiers
- Annual upgrades are prorated between what you have already consumed on the current annual plan and the remaining time on the destination plan. The billing cycle and renewal date stay the same.
- Upgraded tiers immediately grant their monthly included images and discount level. Remaining monthly images from the prior tier do not carry over, so consider upgrading near the start of a month to maximize usage.
- Example: halfway through Tier I’s annual plan ($190), you have used $95. The unused $95 reduces the cost of Tier II’s annual plan ($2,490). Half of Tier II’s annual price is $1,245, so you would pay $1,245 − $95 = $1,150 at upgrade time.
Downgrades & Cancellations
- Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no charges or plan changes happen immediately.
- You retain access to the current tier (and its discount rate) until the next renewal date, when billing switches to the lower tier or stops entirely.
- ⚠️ Discounted credits purchased under a higher tier expire at the end of the current billing cycle.
Moving from Monthly to Annual
- There is no one-click conversion from a monthly commitment tier to an annual tier.
- To move to annual billing, cancel the monthly commitment, let the cycle end, then subscribe to the annual tier you want.
Refund Policy
- Unused API credit purchases, whether part of a commitment tier or individual top-ups, are non-refundable.
- If you are unsure about your expected usage, use the on-demand option and top up as little as 100 credits ($7.50) only when needed.
