Generation settings
Open Generation settings
Select the gear icon (⚙️) beside the send button in Agent. The same menu is available when you open Agent from Gallery.
Auto is a good default for most requests. Choose a specific setting when you need a particular shape, image size, generation speed, or quality level.
Aspect ratio
Aspect ratio controls the shape of a generated or edited image. Choose Auto to let Agent select a suitable ratio, or choose one of the available values:
1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 4:5, 5:4, 9:16, 16:9, or 21:9.
Common choices include:

| 4:5 | Portrait social feed posts and product campaigns |
| 9:16 | Instagram Stories and Reels, TikTok, and vertical ads |
| 16:9 | Website banners and landscape campaign assets |
| 21:9 | Wide storefront hero images |
To change the aspect ratio of an existing image, choose the target ratio and ask Agent to crop or expand the image to fit it. See Create and edit images.
Image resolution
Resolution controls the output size of new images and edits.

| 1K | ~1MP | Quick drafts and smaller outputs |
| 2K | ~4MP | Most image creation and editing |
| 4K | ~16MP | Highest output tier for final assets |
Exact dimensions depend on the image's aspect ratio.
For most workflows, create and edit at 2K, then upscale only your selected final results to 4K. Working at 2K is faster and more cost-efficient, and generally makes complex edits easier to control, with results that follow your instructions more reliably.
Generation mode
Generation mode controls the balance between speed and quality.

| Quality | Prioritizes higher image quality and may take longer. |
For video, Generation mode also determines resolution:

Quality mode is available on Pro and Agency plans. Credit use varies by mode. See App Subscription Plans for current access and costs.
Apply your settings
On desktop, each selection takes effect immediately. On mobile, choose your values and select Apply. Active settings are included automatically with each request, so you do not need to repeat them in your instructions.
